What you will do

  • Define and evolve the data science strategy and roadmap in partnership with the VP of Decision Intelligence.
  • Own model improvement to forecasting for Finance, including revenue forecasting, churn prediction, and scenario planning.
  • Mature audience segmentation and customer profiling for GTM, enabling more targeted and effective go-to-market motions.
  • Support retention and expansion intelligence, including improving churn risk models and identifying expansion opportunities.
  • Develop and scale experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Partner with the Data Engineering team to productionalize models within the Gorgias Decision Engine.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science or a related quantitative field, with strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Deep experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, segmentation, and experimentation design.
  • Strong IC who is hungry to grow by building something from the ground up.
  • Strong communicator who can translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working across domains (Finance, GTM, Product) and switching context frequently.
  • Excited about AI and how it intersects with data science.

Nice to have

  • Experience in SaaS, B2B, or e-commerce environments.
  • Familiarity with dbt, BigQuery, or modern analytics engineering workflows.
  • Prior experience building a data science function or being the first/early data scientist at a company.
