What you will do

  • Deliver clean, maintainable features and resolve end-to-end issues with thoughtful engineering approaches.

  • Participate in code reviews focusing on functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a backend developer on large commercial projects (Node or JVM based frameworks).
  • Solid knowledge of modern architecture patterns, including React fundamentals, REST-based microservices, mobile app design, and clean code principles (SOLID, Onion, Hexagonal).
  • Experience with best practices in testing and quality assurance, including TDD, testing pyramid, and CI/CD pipelines within Agile frameworks (Scrum).
  • Working knowledge of GraphQL, AWS services, and Docker, with strong understanding of mobile performance optimisation and React Native’s underlying architecture.
  • Ability to solve complex engineering challenges through effective debugging, root cause analysis, and decision-making.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams, facilitating technical workshops, and contributing to cross-team process improvements.
  • Strong grasp of software architecture, threat modelling, and observability practices.
  • Drive automation and delivery accountability by optimising CI/CD processes and promoting an operational mindset.
