TL;DR

Tax Transformation and Automation Senior Manager (Direct Tax): Evaluating existing processes and challenges across the tax function and making recommendations for improvements and solution implementation. Focus on tax process design, team management, project planning and management, and delivery of tax engagements.

Location: Consistent with the firm’s hybrid work model, this position will require in-person attendance at least two days per week, either at a GT office or client site. Office locations include: Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; San Jose, CA; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Bellevue, WA.

Salary: $184,000 to $276,000 (Chicago, IL); $198,700 to $298,100 (Newport Beach, CA, Bellevue, WA, New York, NY); $211,600 to $317,400 (San Francisco, San Jose)

What you will do

  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts including speaking engagements, drafting proposals, and attending sales meetings.
  • Manage teams and leading several active projects.
  • Develop and deliver key project documentation including requirements documents, design documents, and test plans.
  • Serve as the Project Manager for third-party tax software implementations and custom software development projects.
  • Team with tax subject matter specialists to bring complete professional expertise to our clients.
  • Manage a broad range of complex tax technology projects from commencement to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related technical field.
  • Secondary degree or minor in: Management Information Systems (MIS), computer science, or data analytics is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant or other professional designation is required.
  • Eight years of public accounting, consulting, or industry experience.
  • Experience with tax technical matters, for example: Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), corporate consolidated returns, partnership returns.
  • Experience with tax technology such as Corptax, ONESOURCE, Oracle TRCS, Longview, Bloomberg.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 40%).
