What you will do

  • Lead architecture and design, creating and maintaining documentation.
  • Build reusable, testable, and efficient backend services and APIs.
  • Provide hands-on technical direction, resolving complex issues and making key implementation decisions.
  • Lead and mentor a small team (5–10), supporting their growth, performance, and engagement.
  • Manage execution, including planning, prioritization, sprint delivery, and removing blockers.
  • Implement security best practices, data protection measures, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to automated testing and CI practices to ensure reliability.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams; coordinate training and support.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong backend engineering experience delivering production systems.
  • Experience with Java and REST API integration (any framework).
  • Strong understanding of open source and open standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and people leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Databases Knowledge (Clickhouse).
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry, SNMP, NetFlow, or network telemetry APIs.
  • Familiarity with Python or Linux.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools.
