What you will do

  • Develop and lead roadmap for simulation and visualization software products and infrastructure.
  • Translate creative concepts into software design and product strategy with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and manage local and remote engineering teams, setting goals and mentoring.
  • Design scalable software architecture for VR/XR, mobile, and desktop tools integrated into production pipelines.
  • Coordinate Agile sprint planning and collaborate with production and other departments for tool integration.
  • Manage technical documentation and stay current on emerging technologies through research and prototyping.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in New York City, NY with onsite presence and travel as required
  • 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Expertise in C# and Unity engine; C++ and Unreal engine knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with VR HMDs (Steam VR, Oculus, Windows Mixed Reality) and Mobile/XR devices (iOS, Android, HoloLens, Magic Leap).
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience leading large teams, managing budgets, and working with backend cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
