What you will do

  • Architect and maintain critical financial services for marketplace payments, balancing immediate needs with long-term stability.
  • Lead technical transformations and architectural decisions for user payment account lifecycles and PSP migrations.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams using Agile/Lean methodologies to deliver high-impact features.
  • Ensure 99.99% service availability by owning critical alerts, monitoring metrics, and participating in on-call rotations.
  • Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated unit testing, and integration testing practices.
  • Mentor colleagues and share deep technical knowledge to foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in backend engineering and building complex, large-scale distributed systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, non-over-engineered approach to technical challenges.
  • Ability to align teams from different functional areas and lead complex technical transformations.
  • Experience with high-stakes execution, identity verification (KYC/KYB) compliance, or payment systems is highly valued.
  • Solid communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and sharing knowledge within a collaborative team.

Nice to have

  • Professional experience with Ruby or willingness to learn it rapidly.
