What you will do
- Architect and maintain critical financial services for marketplace payments, balancing immediate needs with long-term stability.
- Lead technical transformations and architectural decisions for user payment account lifecycles and PSP migrations.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams using Agile/Lean methodologies to deliver high-impact features.
- Ensure 99.99% service availability by owning critical alerts, monitoring metrics, and participating in on-call rotations.
- Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated unit testing, and integration testing practices.
- Mentor colleagues and share deep technical knowledge to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in backend engineering and building complex, large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, non-over-engineered approach to technical challenges.
- Ability to align teams from different functional areas and lead complex technical transformations.
- Experience with high-stakes execution, identity verification (KYC/KYB) compliance, or payment systems is highly valued.
- Solid communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passionate about learning new technologies and sharing knowledge within a collaborative team.

- Professional experience with Ruby or willingness to learn it rapidly.
