What you will do

  • Invent tools and processes for fast, accurate, and user-friendly development and deployment systems
  • Provide comprehensive software validation including virtualized, hardware-in-the-loop, and on-orbit test platforms
  • Monitor and analyze data to support continuous integration and release systems
  • Integrate and troubleshoot across the entire Starlink software stack
  • Create and manage core infrastructure such as databases and software libraries
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase developer velocity

Requirements

  • Must be located in or able to work onsite in Redmond, WA, USA
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM discipline with 5+ years software engineering experience or 7+ years professional experience without degree
  • Development experience in Python, Go, or C++
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Must meet ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required authorizations

Nice to have

  • Experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, or systems administration
  • Strong understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring
  • Familiarity with Bazel or other build systems, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, ArgoCD
  • Skills in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
  • Experience managing large scale systems and deploying software in real-world applications
