What you will do

  • Manage and scale ClickHouse clusters with replication, sharding, and distributed tables to hundreds of terabytes.
  • Maintain data consistency and optimize heavy ETL/ELT queries and table engines.
  • Tune configurations and benchmark cluster performance for high throughput and low latency.
  • Improve observability with monitoring and alerting tools like DataDog.
  • Own backup, restore, disaster recovery, and security processes within ClickHouse.
  • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure data flow and ClickHouse considerations.

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years of hands-on ClickHouse experience and 8+ years as a DBA with distributed OLAP databases.
  • Experience handling data volumes at scale (hundreds of TBs) and deep understanding of IO performance and network protocols.
  • Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with Linux server administration and storage technologies like RAID.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for database metrics and observability.
  • Ownership mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, early-stage environments.
