What you will do

  • Build automated workflows for provisioning and managing data services on OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Develop and maintain platform capabilities for components like Spark, Iceberg, and Ranger.
  • Engineer security automation to enforce data access controls, encryption, and protection protocols.
  • Integrate security guardrails into SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Design Python-based services for platform operations, compliance workflows, and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable data platform solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience required.
  • Must be authorized to work on W2 basis (No C2C).
  • Strong Python development skills for automation and service development.
  • Proven experience operating software in containerized environments using Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Solid understanding of security fundamentals, including least privilege, defense-in-depth, and secure SDLC.
  • Practical experience integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Apache ecosystem tools such as Spark, Iceberg, Keycloak, and DataHub.
  • Knowledge of S3-compatible object storage and distributed data processing.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling, security telemetry, and operational health dashboards.
  • Exposure to API design or frontend development (React) for admin tools.
