What you will do

  • Conduct legal risk assessments for product features throughout the feature lifecycle.
  • Review, advise, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including complex inbound and outbound licenses and data processing agreements (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Develop scalable product review processes and legal playbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams on legal, regulatory, and corporate matters, such as licensing, data protection and privacy.
  • Advise on governance and commercialization of AI features.
  • Assess IP risk associated with third-party software and embedded technologies.

Requirements

  • JD and bar admission in good standing in at least one state in the U.S or the equivalent in your local residency.
  • 5+ years of technology-related in-house legal experience with a software company (preferably in the SaaS industry).
  • 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Significant experience with data protection laws, open source, and AI regulation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
