TL;DR

Knowledgebase Technical Writer (Cybersecurity): Creating, editing, and reviewing technical content for the ESET support knowledgebase and developing internal/external support materials with an accent on ensuring high-quality English content and adherence to ESET and Knowledgebase standards. Focus on understanding core ESET products from a user experience perspective and classifying new content within the established hierarchy.

What you will do

  • Create and edit knowledgebase content and deliverables, ensuring high-quality English and adherence to ESET standards.
  • Serve as the main source of knowledge for the AI support chatbot.
  • Test and recommend improvements to internal systems, tools, and processes.
  • Research and promote new ideas for online self-service and technical support services.
  • Work with HQ participants and global partners, proactively revising/editing content and reporting issues.
  • Train and mentor less experienced colleagues.

Requirements

  • 4 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Expert-level skills in English grammar and stylistics.
  • Experience in editing, proofreading, research, and technical interviewing.
  • Intermediate proficiency in HTML.
  • Technical proficiency with multiple operating systems (Windows Server/Desktop, cloud-hosted, Linux, macOS, mobile OS).
  • Knowledge and experience with Content or Knowledge Management systems (CMS, KMS) and help authoring tools.
  • English: C1 level required.
  • Slovak: B2 level required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (IT, Engineering, English, or related field).
  • ESET certifications or accredited professional/academic certification.
  • Knowledge and interest in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with setting up and using virtual environments for software testing.
  • Knowledge and experience with content versioning systems (SVN) and RDP.
  • Knowledge and experience with customer success principles (KCS, topic-based authoring) and content analytics/metrics tools.
