What you will do

  • Define and implement the strategic vision for AWS infrastructure to balance performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives including rightsizing, reserved instances, and custom reporting.
  • Design highly available and fault-tolerant architectures across AWS availability zones.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and implement automated deployment strategies to increase velocity.
  • Develop internal tooling and self-service capabilities to enable engineering teams.
  • Implement and maintain observability solutions for full-stack system visibility.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional technology experience, with 3-5+ years focused on AWS infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in managing and optimizing large-scale AWS production environments.
  • Expertise in core AWS services including EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, and VPC networking.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation.
  • Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and scaling EKS clusters.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or Go for tooling and automation.

Nice to have

  • AWS Professional certifications.
  • Experience with FinOps practices and cost accountability dashboards.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Knowledge of service mesh technologies or API gateway management.
