What you will do

  • Design and adapt sorters and technologies to suit specific requirements of each market and building.
  • Conduct simulations to evaluate Return on Investment (ROI) for each automation project, considering local processes and labor costs.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including implementation steps, timelines, required resources, and allocated budgets.
  • Conduct acceptance tests and follow-up on any necessary corrections to ensure the functionality and quality of installed systems.
  • Collaborate with the Group's purchasing department on calls for tenders and orders for sorters or automation equipment.
  • Evaluate potential new suppliers and emerging technologies relevant to automation in the parcel delivery industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in automation project management, preferably within the logistics or parcel delivery sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing supplier relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to assess ROI and optimize processes.
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, is mandatory. Italian, Spanish or French are a plus.
