What you will do

  • Architect and lead the design of comprehensive observability platforms using tools like ELK Stack, New Relic, and Datadog.
  • Establish observability standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the organization.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and platform teams in observability implementation.
  • Optimize observability infrastructure for scalability, cost-efficiency, and performance at an enterprise scale.
  • Design automated remediation workflows and self-healing capabilities to improve system reliability.
  • Lead incident response efforts and drive post-incident analysis for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering.
  • 6+ years of hands-on expertise with enterprise observability platforms such as ELK, New Relic, or Datadog.
  • Advanced proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python or Go.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Must be authorized to work in Mexico and located in or willing to work from Mexico City.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry and chaos engineering methodologies.
  • Experience with machine learning-based anomaly detection.
  • Background in financial services or large-scale distributed enterprise environments.
  • Relevant vendor-specific observability or cloud certifications.
