What you will do

  • Deploy and tune Amazon FSx for Lustre and NetApp ONTAP to provide POSIX-compliant scratch space for cloud workloads.
  • Implement automated data movement and synchronization between on-premises parallel file systems (GPFS/Lustre) and Amazon S3 using AWS DataSync or S3 File Gateway.
  • Define data tiering policies to move aging research data to cost-effective archives like S3 Glacier Deep Archive.
  • Optimize I/O patterns for distributed applications to maximize throughput and minimize metadata contention.
