What you will do

  • Architect, design, and develop new features for the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform.
  • Tackle complex challenges related to distributed systems, microservices, scalability, performance, and security in cloud-native environments.
  • Lead technical discussions, contribute to the team's roadmap, and engage with the open-source community, particularly CNCF projects.
  • Utilize advanced debugging skills to analyze and resolve complex issues in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and automate development/operational processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a focus on backend systems.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and internals.
  • Proficiency in Golang for developing production-grade services.
  • Demonstrable contributions to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitOps, FluxCD).

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
