What you will do

  • Design and build Node.js APIs from scratch, owning the full development lifecycle.
  • Analyze and migrate complex legacy .NET services to a modern Node.js architecture.
  • Develop and maintain Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers and API gateways.
  • Integrate AI tooling into the development workflow for code exploration and task automation.
  • Define API standards, error handling patterns, and documentation best practices.
  • Review code, mentor team members, and drive engineering culture improvements.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in or able to work from Stockholm, Sweden
  • 5+ years of production experience with Node.js
  • Strong expertise in designing and building REST APIs from scratch
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor)
  • Strong background in BFF architecture and API gateway design
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate legacy .NET/C# logic

Nice to have

  • Experience with agentic coding tools like Claude Code
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with Python, React, Next.js, or Angular
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven architectures
