Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per annum (New York)

What you will do

  • Lead drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Maintain and improve standard terms, templates, and contracting processes to speed up deal cycles.
  • Support RFPs and tender submissions, particularly for government and academic institutions.
  • Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Advise on labor and employment law, and worker classification.
  • Advise on broader commercial matters as they arise, including marketing, IP, and consumer issues.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years PQE; US-qualified
  • Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (in-house or private practice).
  • Confident engaging with counterparties across the UK, US, and Europe.
  • Experience supporting RFPs/tenders, ideally including public sector and academia.
  • Experience with labor and employment laws.
  • Strong communicator able to translate legal issues clearly for non-legal stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • General understanding of data protection laws is a plus.
