What you will do

  • Build email program and foundational sequences (onboarding, activation, re-engagement, upgrade, churn prevention).
  • Write content for emails, in-platform messages, and landing pages.
  • Build customized onboarding flows that help get people to their first "aha" moment with Devin.
  • Own activation and retention metrics, design experiments to fix drop-offs.
  • Drive self-serve conversion by nurturing free users toward paid plans.
  • Leverage AI to build highly segmented and personalized flows based on usage patterns.

Requirements

  • You've set up email programs or marketing automation from early stages.
  • You'll write more content than anyone else on the marketing team.
  • Data-obsessed and think in funnels, cohorts, and conversion rates.
  • You use AI tools daily to move faster.
  • Lifecycle marketing is half marketing, half product.

Nice to have

  • 2-5 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, CRM, or growth
  • Built or significantly scaled an email program
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (Iterable, Braze, Customer.io, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Written high-performing email copy for a technical or developer audience
  • Worked with product and data teams to build event-based triggers and segmentation
