What you will do

  • Define and evolve Dealpath’s application and platform architecture for scale and reliability.
  • Establish best practices in AI engineering and guide technical decisions.
  • Lead architecture and design reviews (system design, data modeling, API design).
  • Drive cross-cutting technical initiatives for platform modularization and optimization.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/Security to ensure cloud application scalability and safety.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the bar on engineering quality and architectural thinking.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant architecture ownership for cloud-based SaaS products.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, concurrency, distributed systems, API design).
  • Experience designing and scaling backend systems and web applications, including reliability and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives and influence without direct authority.
  • Deep understanding of architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven) and tradeoffs.
  • Proficiency in scalable AI code generation and strong relational database experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
  • Track record modernizing a monolith (modularization, service extraction).
  • Experience building enterprise-grade integrations (REST, webhooks, SSO/SAML).
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production operations.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance expectations (e.g., SOC 2).
