What you will do

  • Architect and implement core backend services powering semantic search and telemetry products.
  • Design and manage advanced databases including vector databases for semantic retrieval.
  • Build real-time, low-latency APIs (gRPC/REST) for live gameplay features.
  • Develop telemetry and audit infrastructure for secure, high-volume event ingestion.
  • Own cloud infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS services ensuring scalability.
  • Collaborate closely with game engine engineers to optimize backend data structures.

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with AWS as primary platform.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, ECS, S3, API Gateway, and Terraform.
  • Strong Python skills for backend services and pipeline logic.
  • Experience designing and operating event-driven, asynchronous distributed systems.
  • Performance and cost optimization mindset including tracking latency and resource utilization.
  • Location flexibility with hybrid work in Copenhagen and remote options.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vector databases in production (Qdrant, Milvus, pgvector).
  • Background in ML infrastructure such as data pipelines and model serving.
  • Experience with sandboxed or multi-tenant execution environments.
  • Gaming or live-service backend experience.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 or similar compliance frameworks.
  • C#/.NET experience.
