What you will do

  • Design, write, and implement integration, component, and UI tests.
  • Understand how key systems interoperate and design tests relevant to their complexity, risk, and performance.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to design test and automation opportunities.
  • Identify and report issues and defects of high quality and complexity with extensive research and evidence.
  • Fix defects in automation and develop new test features or enhancements.
  • Contribute to API documentation, participate in peer code reviews, and drive test plans for components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in a development language.
  • 4+ years of testing experience in a software domain.
  • Professional experience building web applications with Python.
  • Professional experience with SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL).
  • Experience working in a Scrum and DevOps environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the Travel industry.
  • Experience designing and building JSON or REST services.
  • Experience working with 3rd party APIs, AWS APIs, Docker or other containers.
  • Experience with large-scale or distributed web applications, Test Driven Development and functional testing.
  • Experience with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure) and Redis.
