What you will do

  • Design and implement low-latency distributed systems for edge hardware.
  • Develop real-time data pipelines for high-throughput sensor and video streams.
  • Optimize CPU utilization, memory layout, and concurrency patterns.
  • Build robust IPC mechanisms between device subsystems and perception components.
  • Debug complex production issues like race conditions and memory fragmentation.
  • Profile system performance to eliminate latency spikes using low-level tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in systems-level or performance-critical software.
  • Strong programming skills in C++ (Rust experience highly valued).
  • Deep understanding of multithreading, lock-free structures, and concurrency.
  • Proven ability to debug memory issues and optimize system performance.
  • Familiarity with Linux internals and networking stacks.
  • Must be able to work in an on-site environment in Sunnyvale.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge hardware.
  • Knowledge of CUDA or GPU memory management.
  • Experience with real-time Linux or kernel tuning.
  • Understanding of zero-copy architectures and high-throughput networking.
