What you will do

  • Implement backend solutions for AEM (Cloud Service) and EDS, including Sling Models, OSGi services, custom workflows, and content APIs.
  • Model content with Content Fragment Models and expose structured content via GraphQL for omnichannel consumption.
  • Define and establish caching strategies using Dispatcher/CDN for EDS and classic AEM delivery.
  • Develop REST/GraphQL endpoints and integrate backend services with external systems like CRM, PIM, DAM, and identity providers.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines for AEM Cloud Service, ensuring code quality, static analysis, automated tests, and deployment promotion.
  • Apply OWASP best practices, secure endpoints, handle PII compliance, and design role-based access and workflow governance.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, with 6+ years in AEM and 4+ years in AEM Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 11+/17, Sling, OSGi, JCR, Oak, AEM Core Components, Content Fragments, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with Universal Editor authoring models and EDS delivery workflows.
  • Expertise in API design (REST/GraphQL), integration patterns, and event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency in DevOps, CI/CD, cloud logging/monitoring, and Dispatcher/CDN tuning.
  • Knowledge of security best practices including OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, secure headers, and secrets management.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager pipeline tuning and Adobe I/O Runtime (serverless).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Target/Launch/Analytics integration.
  • Experience with headless/omnichannel delivery to mobile/web/IoT.
