We are seeking a skilled Sr. Performance Test Engineer with deep expertise in performance testing and engineering to join our growing team. You will play a key role in designing and executing performance test strategies that ensure application scalability, reliability, and stability across environments. Your work will directly impact system performance optimization, production readiness, and overall application quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system architecture and business requirements to develop comprehensive performance testing strategies.
  • Design and implement performance test scenarios that accurately simulate real-world user behavior and production workloads.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable performance test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Execute performance tests across development, QA, staging, and production environments to validate system scalability and stability.
  • Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks across application, database, and network layers, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for performance issues and partner with development and operations teams to resolve them.
  • Implement and configure performance monitoring and APM tools such as AppDynamics and Datadog to capture real-time system metrics.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 6–12 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
  • Strong expertise with performance testing tools including JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture, database systems, and networking concepts.
  • Experience analyzing JVM architecture including garbage collection (GC), heap usage, and thread dumps.
  • Experience using performance monitoring and APM tools such as AppDynamics or Datadog.
  • Experience testing applications in cloud-based environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Azure CI/CD pipelines for automated testing workflows.
  • Knowledge of Chaos Engineering practices and tools such as Gremlin or Azure Chaos Studio.
  • Experience partnering with architects and developers to optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Experience producing performance reports and presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
