What you will do
- Develop and implement machine learning and statistical algorithms for drilling performance analysis.
- Design and tune changepoint detection algorithms to identify shifts in drilling parameters.
- Build similarity indexing models to compare current and historical drilling data.
- Develop statistical models to calculate probability envelopes for key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Costa Rica
- Strong experience with Python and data science libraries such as Scikit Learn, NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy.
- Experience with PySpark and Azure Synapse Analytics for large-scale data processing.
- Solid foundation in statistical modeling, mathematics, and feature engineering.
- Ability to evaluate algorithm performance and validate results with real-world datasets.
