What you will do

  • Lead development and evaluation of ML and NLP models using structured and unstructured data.
  • Build recommender systems, taxonomies, and AI agent solutions from concept to production.
  • Mentor and provide data science strategy and leadership within the team.
  • Communicate complex model insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on data orchestration, storage, and infrastructure to support AI solutions.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in or near Toronto, Canada, with hybrid work at the office
  • 5+ years of combined industry and/or graduate-level research experience in data science.
  • Expertise in ML, NLP, LLMs, and software engineering with reproducible results.
  • Proven ability to translate vague business problems into production models.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

  • Experience building recommendation systems, taxonomies, or AI agents.
  • Background in economics or social sciences, especially labor market data analysis.
  • Experience with data engineering, BI tools, A/B testing, or causal analysis.
  • Recognized expertise through publications, talks, or open-source contributions.
