What you will do

  • Develop and maintain scalable backend services within the payments domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Lean methodologies to deliver high-quality code.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and maintain a high standard of engineering practices.
  • Ensure system reliability, achieving 99.99% availability for critical payment services.
  • Contribute to unit, integration, and e2e testing to ensure robust service performance.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support production environment stability.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in backend engineering, preferably with Ruby or Go.
  • Strategic decision-making skills to balance immediate needs with long-term stability.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern storage/database systems.
  • Practical approach to problem-solving and eagerness to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in cross-domain teams.
  • Must be based in or willing to work from the office in Vilnius or Kaunas for the hybrid schedule.

  • Experience with Temporal workflow orchestration.
  • Background in fintech or payment processing systems.
