What you will do

  • Build and lead a new Scrum team, including recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
  • Manage delivery execution, remove blockers, and ensure predictable shipping.
  • Drive technical direction and architectural decisions in partnership with principal engineers.
  • Champion engineering standards, observability, and non-functional requirements.
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into measurable technical solutions.
  • Represent the team in cross-functional planning and roadmap prioritization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems.
  • 2+ years of engineering management experience with direct reports.
  • Strong technical foundation in React.js, Next.js, and React Native.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, agile engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with observability, incident response, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Golang.
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS or GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Experience with server-side rendering patterns in Next.js.
